Welcome to The Spirit Source

Hello and Welcome. My name is Crystal Hiller, I am the founder of The Spirit Source. As we are starting this blog I would like to welcome everyone to be open and open-minded. I ask that everyone be respectful and anything otherwise will not be tolerated. Please expect anything from jokes and light-hearted fun to serious topics that may be a little skeptical in some eyes, but please refrain from judgement, as the topic of the paranormal is indeed very taboo in the majority of society. Although more then 75% have had experiences that they have no explanation for, it is still very touchy so to say to bring up with out judgement or skeptics.

So with that being said, I would like to open the comment box to anyone that would like to share an experience, open a topic for discussion, or anything you wish. I am trying to make this as open as possible while i work on a post of my personal past experiences and current findings.

  1. I have a pretty haunted house. My old one was worse, full of child spirits who used to turn the taps on and hide things. This house is built on an old hospital and there's an old lady who sits and watched TV with me. Sounds crazy to some, but I have a fair few older friends and family members who can see, hear and sense them. I can too. People can judge if they want, but I get to smell my grandads pipe smoke when I'm sad ;)

  2. Your NOT crazy!!!! It is interesting that you can smell your grandfather's pipe smoke, actually we have that in common. My grandfather passed when I was 9 years old, and shortly after he died I was able to smell him, hear him call my name and could have sworn (and probably did at the time) that I had seen him. I will always remember that and even though I felt tortured then, I can look back now and feel lucky that I was able to say good bye.

Your house sounds very similar to one that I visited here in Michigan,USA. A friend of mine asked if I would come with her to drive her daughter home from a friends house. When we arrived at her daughters house I instantly felt what I call the "something" feeling. (I've called it that since I was 9). We walked into the house and and her daughter proceeded to show me around. The first thing I noticed was that even though I knew she had children and I could hear children down in the lower level, her own children were not at home. ( I kind of had a "wait she wouldn't leave her kids here while she was out somewhere else" moment) Then as I proceeded to usher my friend out of her daughters house, a little in shock since I had not been prepared for it, and went to leave. Walking out the front door brought about a whole different "something" feeling.

As my friend and I approached the door, I proceeded to grab the door handle to turn it and found it was as cold as an ice cube and was actually covered in condensation. I pulled my hand away suddenly and even though they had noticed my odd behavior, I decided to push through and exit the house. As my friend and I got into her van she looked over to me and asked "Whats going on in there?" Odd way for her to have worded it so I told her. My words exactly were " There is a little boy and girl in the lower level, and I believe an older women in the front room" (not sure why I was convinced about the elderly woman but it felt right when I said it) Right then she called her daughter on her cellular and asked her to step outside for a moment.

When her daughter came outside, my friend asked her what her kids had claimed to see in the house. Her daughter's answer was "My son has see an older lady in the window and sometimes in a none existing rocking chair on the front porch, and my daughter has seen a little boy and little girl playing down stairs and claims they are so loud she cannot sleep some nights". Now the daughter and I had not exchanged ANY words about any paranormal EVER. Of course my friend was ecstatic and went into full questioning mode asking me how they all died and what their names were, all of course I could not answer.

So see your not crazy but I do understand the Taboo surrounding the topic. Those of us that are brave enough to say "take it as crazy or take it as an experience, either way it happened" understand each other. :)
